"Felt passed around by support"
I bought an ozobot kit for my kid’s class project, and we ran into trouble getting it to charge. I emailed support thinking it would be a quick fix, but it took almost a week before anyone got back to me.

When they finally replied, the answer felt generic, like it was copied and pasted from a help article. It also didn’t really address what I had asked, so I ended up repeating the same info again and felt like I was being passed around instead of actually helped.

The kit is fine when it’s working, and my kid was excited about using it, but the support experience was frustrating. For the price, I expected a smoother process and a bit more attention from customer service.

"Software has been really steady"
So... I’ve been using ozobot with my class for a while now, and the software has been really solid. It loads quickly, saves without any issues, and the bots connect without me having to mess with things too much. Overall, I’ve been happy with it

"Feels a bit overpriced for what it is"
I ordered from ozobot.com because I assumed the price meant it would feel like a really solid purchase, but I’m a little disappointed. The bot is cute and it was fun for my kid at first, but there just wasn’t much included that made it feel worth what they’re charging. It kind of feels like they’re leaning on the novelty more than the actual value. My kid played with it a handful of times and then lost interest. It’s not a bad product, but for the price, I expected more.

"A clunky mess"
This thing is way too hard to use. I spent more time trying to figure out what the heck was going on than actually doing anything useful. The whole setup feels confusing, awkward, and kind of like it was designed by a potato.

"solid little robot, works great"
this little robot feels sturdy, and my kid has been rough with it. it’s still holding up great so far, which is a win for me...

"I was able to get the Ozobot..."
I was able to get the Ozobot up and running, but it definitely took me longer than I expected. Compared to other gadgets I’ve set up before, the instructions felt a little less clear in a few spots, and I had to pause and figure out what the next step was more than once. Once everything was working, it was totally fine and fun to use, but I do wish the setup guide was a bit simpler and easier to follow...

"Fun at first, but didn’t last"
We got an Ozobot for my kid, it was a lot of fun at the beginning. For the first few weeks they were really into drawing little paths for it and watching it zip around. I still remember one weird detail: it kept getting stuck at the same corner of the kitchen table like it had a grudge against that spot.
After a couple months, though, it started acting up. First it wouldn’t charge very well, then one of the wheels seemed off, and sometimes it would just spin in circles instead of following the line.
For what it costs, I expected it to hold up a bit better, especially since it’s made for kids to use. It’s a cool idea and fun while it works, but the durability just wasn’t there for us.

"Felt like my class was just another trial run"
I brought ozobot into my classroom hoping it would really grab my students’ attention, but the excitement wore off fast. The first day had some decent moments, but after that it started feeling like just another tech gadget we were supposed to be impressed by.

A few kids did enjoy it, but most of the class was basically waiting for the activity to end. I also kind of felt like a ticket number whenever I looked for help or answers, not like an actual teacher trying to make it work. For student engagement in my room, it just wasn’t worth it.

"This might work better for younger kids or..."
This might work better for younger kids or for families looking for something very simple, but for us there just wasn’t much learning happening. My kids lost interest quickly and got bored faster than I expected.

"Battery runs out way too quickly"
The battery life is frustrating. It barely lasts long enough for my kid to use it, and they got annoyed with it almost right away. I was already tired of dealing with it after the first day...

"Good coding lessons, but not always easy"
The coding lessons are good for helping kids get started, and the robots definitely keep them interested. Some parts were a little confusing though, and I had to jump in and explain more than I expected. It works overall, it just wasnt as smooth as I hoped it would be. 3 stars from me.
